Tinie Tempah believes his Glastonbury duet with hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg was a huge moment in the development of British rap music.

Tinie Tempah thinks his Glastonbury duet with Snoop Dogg was a "major British musical moment".

The 22-year-old rapper - who was invited on stage by the legendary hip-hop star at last year's Glastonbury Festival to perform his number one hit 'Pass Out' - believes the event signified a "bridging of a musical gap" between the UK and US.

He explained: "That was amazing. He's a hip-hop icon and one of the reasons I wanted to start rapping. It was the first time I met him and something historical happened.

"I definitely think, in all modesty, that people will look back and see that as a major British musical moment. It was the bridging of a gap as young, fresh, experimental British music met classic American hip-hop. I'll never forget that."

The 'Written In The Stars' hitmaker also admitted he feels "proud" to have seen British music embraced all over the world in recent years.

Tinie added: "In the past couple of years, English music has been embraced all over the world. I feel proud of that."
