Mick Jagger has called Keith Richards' autobiography, 'Life' ''tedious'', and said he has no plans to release his own memoir.

Mick Jagger has called Keith Richards' autobiography "tedious".

The Rolling Stones frontman has blasted his bandmate's memoir, 'Life' and said he won't be writing a similar book himself, as he doesn't think there is any particular need for them.

Mick told the New York Times: "Personally. I think it's really quite tedious raking over the past. Mostly, people only do it for the money."

About the possibility of writing his own book, Mick added: "You don't want to end up like some old footballer in a pub, talking about how he made the cross in the cup final in 1964."

The 'Paint It Black' singer was subject to quite a high level of criticism in 'Life', with Keith portraying him as growing into a controlling egomaniac and levelling criticism at some of his decisions within the band, as well as more personal attacks, describing him as having a "tiny todger", in reference to his manhood.

Despite the comments from both parties, both Mick and Keith insist their creative partnership is as strong as ever and they remain the best of friends, with The Rolling Stones expected to announce a world tour in either 2011 or 2012.
