Barbara Windsor
Barbara Windsor has revealed she is keen to appear in a special edition of 'Strictly Come Dancing' alongside other older actresses.
Barbara Windsor wants to appear on a special edition of 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 73-year-old former 'EastEnders' actress - who left the BBC One soap earlier this year - feels too old to compete in the ballroom dancing show, but would love to appear in a special edition especially for older actresses.
She said: "I've been offered 'Strictly...' a few times. I thought about it for the first series but I had broken my ankle and my physio told me not to do it.
"Now I'm too old. It's very physical and because I'm a perfectionist I would wear myself out. Maybe we should do an old folks one, with people like me, 'EastEnders' stars June Brown (Dot Cotton) and Pam St Clement (Pat Butcher) and some of the 'Coronation Street' girls in their 60s and 70s. I would definitely be up for that."
While she was left 'EastEnders', Barbara is adamant she has no plans to give up acting.
She added: "I won't be retiring any time soon. I won't ever give up, unless it gives me up. I've been offered so many things since 'EastEnders'."
