Kristen Bell - who is engaged to actor Dax Shepard - says getting married is no longer important to her.

Kristen Bell is in no rush to get married.

The 'You Again' actress - who has been engaged to actor Dax Shepard for almost a year - claims making their union official has grown increasingly less important as she has grown older.

The 30-year-old beauty said: "I come from a very traditional household. For a while, I thought a marriage certificate was important, but the older I get, the more I see how little it means."

Though Kristen is in no hurry to marry Dax, who she has been dating for three years, she loves having someone to share her life with.

She said: "I think one of the most important things you can do in your life is pair up with someone else. I think living alongside someone and sharing everything with them is just beautiful."

However, the blonde beauty is dissatisfied with is the 12 inch height difference between her and her boyfriend.

She explained: "It's tough having pictures taken with him because he's so tall. It's difficult to get both our heads in!"
