Esben and the Witch on UK headline tour
Tour support CV lists The xx, School of Seven Bells and Wild Beasts
It’s a good time for purveyors of eerie malevolence, Esben and the Witch. They’ve just been nominated in the ‘Next Big Thing’ category at the Q Awards; their debut album Violet Cries is set for release early next year; and they’re currently enjoying a US tour with Foals (adding another name to a list of tour-mates that includes The xx, School of Seven Bells and Wild Beasts). We also appreciate their promoting method – asking record shops to label their music under ‘Uneasy Listening’.
