'Wonder Woman' is reportedly being lined up to return to the TV screen, in a modern-day remake of the 70s show.

'Wonder Woman' is reportedly being brought back to the television screen.

Modern-day tales about the superhero are apparently set to be aired on the small screen, after attempts to turn the comic book character into a film star failed.

It is now believed that producer and scriptwriter David E. Kelley - who has worked on 'Boston Legal', 'Ally McBeal' and 'The Practice' - could be in line to pen a new modern-day script for the sexy DC Comics superhero.

The Hollywood Reporter reports: "Warner Bros. Television is developing a modern-day reboot of the classic DC comic book heroine and has lassoed an unlikely talent to potentially write and produce the superhero project: David E. Kelley."

Planned movie versions of the comic book linked numerous celebrity beauties to the part - including Angelina Jolie, Megan Fox and Beyonce Knowles - although it is unclear who Warner Bros. Television have in mind for the TV version.

The original 'Wonder Woman' TV series aired in the 70s, when actress Lynda Carter donned the iconic tight-fitting costume for the sexy superhero.
