New exhibition dedicated to the ill-fated luxury liner
This new exhibition dedicated to the ill-fated luxury liner showcases the largest private collection of Titanic artefacts in Scotland, including some very rare pieces from the ship itself as well props and costumes from the 1997 blockbuster movie. Items on display include a gold pocket watch belonging to the Titanic’s head waiter Vincenzo Gilardino, who did not survive the disaster, a selection of chinaware, silverware, postcards and letters and a necklace worn by Kate Winslet in the film. Organisers have also recreated a third class cabin as it would have been on board the vessel.
The Tall Ship, Glasgow, until Sun 27 Feb.
