Manic Street Preachers
‘One last shot at mass communication’ is how the Manics describe their new album Postcards From a Young Man, a record which features Ian McCulloch, John Cale and Duff McKagan, hinting that their aim is to write proper stadium hits once more. Whether that’s a good thing is another matter, given the creative lull they experienced early last decade, but Nicky Wire’s recent summit with Tony Benn was surely one way to capture the imagination.
