The Surge Grande Parade: Conflux Maximus

Something strange has been happening in Glasgow’s performance spaces recently, and it’s about to burst all over Buchanan Street. Conflux Maximus is a gigantic parade of performance art, and possibly some Roman-style decadence, to celebrate the launch of Surge, Scotland’s first festival of street arts, circus, physical theatre and buffoonery. Long time Glasgow meddlers Mischief La Bas are in charge, and look out for the likes of Al Seed and New York merry-maker Red Bastard. We want to see toga-clad clowns embarrassing after-work shoppers, OK? Check out www.conflux.co.uk for more info.

Buchanan Street, Glasgow, Fri 23 Jul, 5pm.
