Dizzee Rascal
Dizzee Rascal is enjoying judging new TV talent show 'Must Be The Music', but admits he can be quite tough on contestants.
Dizzee Rascal is a tougher judge than Simon Cowell.
The 'Bonkers' rapper is a panellist on new TV talent show 'Must Be The Music' and though he struggled to be honest with aspiring singers at first, he claims he can now be harsher than the music mogul, who is famous for his cutting put-downs.
He said: "It's cool, there are times where I was a bit soft at first but as we've gone along, if they're sounding a bit c**p, I'll say they're sounding a bit c**p, I've been getting a bit real. Simon Cowell wouldn't say the things I say!"
It seems that hopefuls auditioning for the Sky1 show are in for a rough ride with the panel as Dizzee - real name Dylan Mills - admits Texas singer Sharleen Spiteri can be equally harsh, leaving jazz star Jamie Cullum to console the contestants.
He added to BANG Showbiz: "Jamie Cullum is the nice guy and Sharleen Spiteri can be quite tough, she's tougher than me."
The competition is open to all, irrespective of age, musical style or song choice and the 'Holiday' hitmaker is enjoying helping to "create new stars".
He said: "It's nice to witness the creation of a star in front of you, it's an amazing thing, especially the bands because I don't work with many bands.
"The good thing about it all is the winning artists get £100,000, to perform at Wembley and they get their songs on iTunes."
'Must Be The Music', hosted by Fearne Cotton, will launch on Sky1 HD and Sky1 this summer.
