Scissor Sisters set for Glasgow Barrowlands show

Jake Shears and the gang are back, following up 2006’s ridiculously successful Ta-Dah with third album Night Work. It’s a dance record, but not completely electronic, with Shears promising that the band dynamic will shine through: ‘Night Work is really us boiled down to who we are. It feels quintessentially us,’ said the once Lycra loving, now more chicly dressed, Shears, who can count plenty friends of Dorothy among the Sisters’ large fanbase. New material played at SXSW and Coachella received a rapturous reception, with bloggers and YouTube pundits heralding the band’s return. The gig at the Barrowlands is the starting point for a world tour, so get along and see them while they’re still fresh and flamboyant.
