Slipknot have held a press conference - which they attended without their trademark masks - to pay tribute to their bandmate Paul Gray, who died on Monday (24.05.10).
Slipknot have paid tribute to their late bandmate Paul Gray.
The heavy metal group held an emotional press conference - making a rare appearance without their masks on as a mark of respect - to talk about their love for the bassist, who was found dead in a hotel room on Monday (24.05.10) aged 38.
Singer Corey Taylor said: "The only way I can sum up Paul Gray is love."
Drummer Shawn Crahan added: "Paul Gray was the essence of the band slipknot. Paul was there from the very beginning and none of us would be on the path we're on right now in life or have the sorts of lives we have without him.
"He is going to be sadly missed and the world is going to be a different place without him."
Coroners are currently awaiting the results of toxicology tests o Paul's body, but it has been reported that "no signs of foul play or significant trauma" were found during the autopsy. A cause of death couldn't be determined.
