Bard in the Botanics and Fête de la Musique return to West End Festival

Bard in The Botanics
Myths and legends will be at the heart of Glasgow’s West End Festival 2010. The arts jamboree returns to the city next month for its 15th year. Showcasing its wares across 50 venues, this year’s line-up promises over 400 events. In keeping with previous years, the Mardi Gras parade kicks off a programme which includes gala days, music, theatre, dance, comedy, food and drink events, open days and exhibitions. Ashton Lane’s Fête de la Musique, the Gibson Street Gala and the Bard in the Botanics all make a return to the programme, along with Festival Sunday at Kelvingrove Park, complete with five stages of music and performances. Additions to this year’s programme include the West End Festival Highland Games at Hughenden on Sat 26 Jun, culminating in a Final Fling Ceilidh and music concert.
