Kate Nash has admitted she is a big fan of 'Fight for This Love' hitmaker Cheryl Cole after they met at the BRIT awards in 2008.
Kate Nash is a huge fan of "lovely" Cheryl Cole.
The 'Foundations' hitmaker admitted she was surprised by how friendly the Girls Aloud star was when they first met.
She said: "I think 'Fight for This Love' is really catchy. The night I won a BRIT award, in 2008, that's the night I met Cheryl Cole. She's lovely. It was an insane night."
The 22-year-old singer also believes Cheryl will cope with her husband Ashley Cole's infidelities because of her roots in Newcastle, North East England.
She said: "I want her to change her name back to Cheryl Tweedy and release music under that name. I think what's she going through must be really hard. But she's a Geordie - she'll survive!"
Kate - who is dating The Cribs rocker Ryan Jarman - admitted she has also struggled with the pressures of success, with one incident in particular making her realise she needed a break.
She explained: "One day, I got really drunk and I was also dealing with some emotional stuff. When I finally made it to the festival, I felt so bad I had to lean against a tree and throw up. People were walking past to see me perform and I was being sick in front of them! I was like, I need to go home, see my mum and sort my life out. I was naive and people wanted to manipulate me."
