Year of the Tiger

This giant flaming cat is currently stalking the north bank of the Clyde. The 12 feet tall mural has been painted along a Clyde Street wall, very near to the closed down Barfly venue, by South of England-based design company McFaul Studio. It’s one of five art projects in cities around the country that were specially commissioned to mark the Chinese New Year on 18 Feb. Lead artist John McFaul explains the simple concept: ‘Year of the Tiger; element is fire; equals tiger made of fire. And it’s going to last for at least two years.’
