Glasgow's Museum of Transport closes its doors
For those who know and love it, the Museum of Transport is part of Glasgow’s grand design. A delightfully cavernous home to a colourful cornucopia of trams, trains, cars, ships and carriages from across the ages, the city’s much-loved attraction, as is, will be no more. Since it welcomed its first visitor in 1988, the museum has played affable host to over 10m willing adventurers. Its closure, on 18 April, follows plans to move some of the items to the new £74 million Riverside Museum which opens to the public next year. Get in now and catch the magic while you can.
