Little Boots
2009 feels a little like the year that Goldfrapp’s pop offspring all finally grew up and flew the nest with the likes of La Roux, Frankmuzik and, of course, Little Boots all taking mama Goldfrapp’s saucy electro suggestions and rendering them more than desirable for wholesale consumption. What she lacks in edginess she makes up for in energy, but live, Little Boots’ middling debut album truly comes to life.
