Will Ferrell saved the life of adventurer Bear Grylls.
The 'Anchorman' actor stopped the ex-SAS soldier from plummeting down an ice cliff to his death while the pair were filming a one-off episode of Bear's TV show 'Born Survivor' in Northern Sweden.
Will said: "There was a moment when we were going down the side of an ice cliff and Bear slipped and I was holding the rope. I literally had to sit there for 40 minutes while we worked out how to get him back up. That was pretty hard and cold!"
Despite the near-death incident, the Hollywood funnyman claims he had no hesitations about accepting the "weird" offer to appear on the programme.
He explained: "I'm a big fan of the show. My name came up because they wanted to do a show with a celebrity and it was too weird to turn down. So there I was, 40 miles outside the Arctic Circle."
Previous episodes of 'Born Survivor' have seen Bear drink his own urine and sleep inside a dead camel.
