One Minute Wonder Film Competition
Dust off your imaginations and reach for those sharpened pencils. The List One Minute Wonder Film Competition deadline is on Friday 16 March, so if you’re harbouring a burning desire to try your hand at film writing, there’s no better time than the present.

Some of the world's greatest filmmakers, including Star Wars (pictured above) director George Lucas and American director Todd Solondz, the craftsman behind such innovative indie flicks as Palindromes (above) and British director Alan Parker, the talent behind The Commitments (above) started out with short films, so kick-start your career by entering. Five winners will be announced in The List on Wednesday 11 April. These lucky shortlistees will be taken out by film production company Metro Ecosse to shoot and edit their films, which will then be shown at the Edinburgh Filmhouse in late July, and possibly at a number of European film festivals.
