Ryan Reynolds completed the ING New York City Marathon in three hours 50 minutes yesterday (02.11.08).
The 'Definitely, Maybe' star ran as part of Team Fox, set up by Michael J. Fox, to raise money for Parkinson's Disease, which the 'Back To The Future' actor suffers from.
Ryan's father Jim Reynolds has been living with the debilitating illness for the past 15 years.
After crossing the finish line, Ryan said: "I'm still standing. I'm very excited about that. It was an incredible experience.
"When I saw Michael J. Fox on Fifth Avenue, I gained about 15lbs in goose bumps. It kind of pushed me through the last six miles or so!
"During the race I thought a lot about my father and Michael and the 500,000 other people afflicted with this awful disease in the United States alone. I ran for those who can't."
The 31-year-old actor, who is married to screen beauty Scarlett Johannson, was greeted by his mother Tammy and brother Terry at the finish line in the city's Central Park.
Asked how he was planning to celebrate his impressive time, Ryan joked: "I'll probably celebrate by eating my own body weight in raw dough!"
