Phoenix Dance Company
Most mixed bills throw two or three pieces your way, but not Phoenix. The Leeds-based company is presenting no less than five diverse works for your delectation. Artistic director, Javier De Frutos contributes his visually striking Blue Roses inspired by Tennessee Williams; Ana Lujan Sanchez choreographs cervaNtes, inspired by the author of Don Quixote; Chaconne and The Moor’s Pavana are two 1940s works by José Limón; while Jane Dudley’s Harmonica Breakdown finds a solo female throwing positivity in the face of the 1920s Great Depression.
Theatre Royal, Glasgow, Fri 7 & Sat 8 Nov.
