Can’t Smile Without You

OK, we’ve had the ABBA musical, the Queen musical, the Pet Shop Boys musical, the Rod Stewart musical and the Madness musical. So, what the theatre world really needs now is a stage extravaganza inspired by the life and work of that multi-million-selling spiky-haired singer-songwriter Barry Manilow. Starring erstwhile teen heartthrob Chesney Hawkes in the lead role alongside assorted reality TV alumni, this is bound to send fans of ‘Mandy’, ‘Copacabana’ and the rest.

King’s Theatre, Glasgow, Mon 13–Sat 18 Oct.
