Dita Von Teese has revealed she is a prude and thinks clothes which show off her svelte figure are "disgusting".

Dita Von Teese claims she is a prude.

The burlesque dancer - who is famous for a raunchy routine she performs in an oversized martini glass - claims she has "never been an exhibitionist" and prefers to cover up when she isn't performing.

She added: "I wouldn't be caught dead bearing my stomach during the day.

"Remember the trend for super-low-cut jeans? I tried a pair on once, they looked disgusting."

Dita - who recently unveiled her lingerie collection with Wonderbra - also hit out at other celebrities' style, and says stars including Paris Hilton will never make it as a "fashion icon".

She added: "Look at Paris Hilton in her teeny mini-skirts. What is she going to wear when she's 50? If your style is elegant and sexy without being body-bearing, it's timeless. People think they have to be chameleons, that to be a fashion icon means to be ever changing. That is the problem with Hollywood youth."
