Fiddler on the Roof
This new touring production of the much-loved Jerry Brock musical stars Joe McCann as Tevye, dairyman and father to five headstrong daughters in Czarist Russia, who becomes torn between Jewish tradition and the actions of his family against a backdrop of the Czar’s decree that Jews must be evicted from their villages. The show features such well-kent numbers as ‘If I Were a Rich Man’ and ‘Matchmaker, Matchmaker’.
Theatre Royal, Glasgow, until Sat 23 Aug.
