Woody Allen's LA hate

Woody Allen can't handle being in Los Angeles.

The 'Vicky Cristina Barcelona' director - who has never hidden his love of his home city of New York, and even directed a movie called 'Manhattan' - admits he feels like a "fish out of water" in the Californian city.

He said: "I'm like a fish out of water in a town like Los Angeles. You have to drive every place - you can't walk and the sun beats down on your head. I prefer to be in a more pedestrian city!"

Penelope Cruz - who stars alongside Scarlett Johansson in the new movie - recently revealed Woody is not as excited as the rest of the world about the Hollywood pair's lesbian kiss in the film.

She said: "Woody could not care less about our kissing scene. When we would ask him about it, he was more interested in a new mark which had appeared on his hand and was worrying him.

"He even stopped shooting so he could go to the doctor and get it checked out. We all had to wait around for him to come back."
