The Good, the Bad and the Queen

The latest seemingly random collective helmed by Damon Albarn. After the indie Britpop chirpiness of Blur and the wonky hip hop of Gorillaz this is a more stripped down affair with a heavy dub groove. Featuring the bass of Clash legend Paul Simonon, The Verve’s Simon Tong on guitar and Afrobeat pioneer Tony Allen on drums this is a true, if slightly eccentric, supergroup.

Motherwell Concert Hall, Motherwell, Tue 30 Jan.
