Kate Beckinsale's boob job fear

Kate Beckinsale was terrified about moving to Los Angeles.

The 34-year-old actress, who left the UK six years ago, feared her typically English rose looks would hamper her chances of making it in Hollywood and she would be forced to have a boob job.

She said: "I was very frightened of Los Angeles at first.

"I thought the first thing that would happen is they are going to file my teeth down, inflate my bosom and just be mean to me - and that's sort of what has happened."

Kate, who is married to director Len Wiseman and has a nine-year-old daughter Lily from a previous relationship, admits she is surprised by how happy she is living in the US.

The 'Underworld' star added: "I would never have envisaged myself marrying an American, living in America and sending my child to an American school."

Kate recently revealed she and Lily love teasing Len about his American accent and force him to eat traditional British food.

She said: "I don't understand how anyone has any fun if they're married to someone from their own culture because we have an amount of ridiculous fun teasing each other. We gang up on him with our English accents, and make him eat Marmite and things."
